Construction is on schedule at Oshawa’s VIA Rail station

Construction is continuing, on schedule, on upgrades at the Oshawa VIA Rail station. Officials with VIA Rail say right now, crews are working to complete the new island platform which is expected to be finished by December. They’ll then build a fully accessible, enclosed, overhead passageway, complete with both stairs and an elevator. Once that’s completed in the spring, another track will be added at the station improving services for riders.  The entire $7-million project is expected to be finished by next summer.
