Whitby building permit sales down in October

Durham Market Information

There was a big drop in building permit sales in Whitby last month compared to 2010. While the town issued 118 permits, it was a massive drop from the 194 sold last year. Total construction value was a shade over 27 million dollars which represents a 20 per cent decrease. Year-to-year construction value in Whitby remains up by about 7 per cent so far in 2011.
