Ajax recognized as a top cycling community

Durham Market Information

250 bicyclists participating in the annual Great Waterfront Trail Adventure are continuing on their journey to the Ontario/Quebec border after an overnight stay in Ajax. The town is touting the stay as a celebration of its accomplishments in cycling. Mayor Steve Parish says the activity is an important component of any progressive and dynamic community. Parish says Ajax is one of only four Ontario communities to receive a “Bicycle-Friendly Communities” designation from the Share the Road Cycling Coalition.
