Whitby building permits down in September

Durham Market Information

Building permit sales were down in Whitby last month compared with a year earlier. The town issued 73 permits, a fair drop from the 96 sold in 2010. Despite the lower amount, total construction value was over $15 million which represents a 19 percent spike over last year. Year over year sales in Whitby remain up by about 12 percent so far in 2011.
