Total sales down, but value increases for building permits in Oshawa

It was good and bad news for building permit sales in Oshawa last month. The total number of permits sold fell from 137 last year to 72. In spite of the drop, the construction value of those permits actually climbed from $12 to $14 million.  City officials also say that commercial construction value in 2011, is $20 million ahead of 2010 numbers.
