The city of Oshawa is celebrating a banner month for building permit sales. Officials say a total of 141 permits were sold in January, that’s up from just 61 for the same month last year. Total construction soared from just under $9-million to almost $27-million, and the city saw the highest ever residential construction value for January, hitting just over $26-million.
