LHEARN Centre opens at Lakeridge Health Oshawa

The doors of the new Lakeridge Health Education and Research Network Centre are now open. The $6.6 million facility features a 210-seat lecture hall, classrooms, conference rooms, health sciences library and simulation labs to be used by Lakeridge Health and students from Queen’s University to train the next generation of health care practitioners. The LHEARN Centre is about 19,500 square feet and is located in the North Wing of the Oshawa hospital. Lakeridge Health currently has students training in the fields of medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, social work, and a variety of other health disciplines.
