There were mixed results in July’s real estate numbers for the GTA with house prices rising significantly from last year. In Durham Region, the average price of a home in July was almost $330,000, up more than 11 percent while in Toronto, prices are up 10 percent to more than $459,000. Jason Mercer with the Toronto Real Estate Board, says market conditions this year, have really created a sellers market. Year-to-date home resales were down slightly across the GTA compared to last year, falling 3.7 percent in Durham Region and 1.3 percent in Toronto.
