Fewer building permits sold in Oshawa in July

July was a soft month for building permit sales in Oshawa. There were a total of 85 permits sold last month, compared with 355 in the same period last year. Year-to-date numbers are also down, from more than 1,100 in 2010 to just 682 so far this year. There were a couple of highlights in July, as permits were issued for a $700,000 renovation at Lakeridge Health Oshawa and a $400,000 renovation at Durham College and UOIT.
