Building permit sales drop, but construction value soars in Town of Whitby

Durham Market Information

Another solid month for building permit sales in the Town of Whitby. Although total sales slipped to 48 last month from 57 in February 2011, construction value got a significant boost. The amount increased to over $26 million, mostly in the residential sector. Year-to-date, permit sales are ahead of last year’s pace by about 23 percent.
