New housing construction steady

DURHAM — Construction began on 197 new homes in June for the Oshawa Census Metropolitan Area, which includes Whitby and Clarington.

According to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, the number of home starts was virtually unchanged from the same period last year.
