Location Context: Our new meeting location is the Second-Floor Theatre Room overlooking the track at the Abilities Centre. If you go to the front desk of the Abilities Centre, they will walk you there. Or simply follow the ramp up, and you will walk past the Theatre. The parking lot is located on the West Side of the building along Gordon Street.

Speaker Showcase:

Josh Pike is a Commercial Insurance Broker specializing in real estate investors, developers, and property portfolios across Ontario, and is also an active real estate investor himself. He works closely with property management firms, construction companies, and mortgage brokers, giving him a broad view of how deals are structured, built, and managed. With a background as a teacher, he brings a structured, analytical approach to helping clients understand risk, not just place coverage. His value lies in making complex insurance simple, from new policy setup to renewals, so clients can make clear, confident decisions. He focuses on aligning coverage with how properties are owned, financed, and operated, helping protect cash flow, manage liability, and avoid surprises as portfolios grow.

Drew Fenton — Vice President, Real Estate – Drew Fenton is the Real Estate Practice Leader for HUB International in Ontario. Drew brings 20 years of experience in the insurance industry designing, implementing, and evaluating complex insurance programs for organizations in the Real Estate industry. Drew began his career at Marsh Canada in 2006, working in the Public Entities and Education sector, with clients including the Ontario Colleges Program, Canadian Universities Reciprocal Exchange, and the Province of Ontario. In 2013, Drew joined HUB International in the Large Commercial Risk Unit, focusing on multi-national manufacturing, where he honed his expertise in Property and Casualty insurance and gained experience navigating and placing large, complex risks. Drew joined HUB’s Real Estate practice in 2019 and today leads the Real Estate practice in Toronto, where he has discovered a passion for educating and leading his team. Drew holds a Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation from the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada, as well as a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation from The Insurance Institute of Canada.

Matthew Sukraj is the owner and general manager of Affordable Kitchens, located in Scarborough and serving the greater GTA.  Affordable Kitchens produces and installs quality kitchens with lead times as short as 5 business days at affordable prices.  

Matt graduated from U of T with a degree in HR in 2002, and subsequently went on to work in the field of vocational rehabilitation.  Working at ODSP and then later as manager of vocational rehab at WSIB until 2017. 

Matt purchased his first investment property at the age of 22 in the Beach area of Toronto.  Between 2001 to 2017 he grew his personal real estate holdings from 2 units to 34, including multiple properties in Durham. 

In 2021 he divested some of his real estate investments to purchase Affordable Kitchens with his Wife Olessia.  Matt and his Amazing staff have grown Affordable Kitchens year over year sales by 29%, currently employing 22 people and selling over 4.5M a year in kitchens.
