This initial step into the real estate market introduced him to the world of licensed rental properties. \nAs he gained experience and knowledge in the field\, Shawn expanded his real estate portfolio by purchasing another property in Prince Edward County (PEC). He saw potential in short-term accommodations (STA) and increased revenue within the vacation rental market. \nShawn’s dedication to real estate investment and property management led him to join the DREI and further expand his property portfolio. \nDespite having a successful 22-year career in the pharmaceutical industry managing multimillion-dollar brands across Canada\, he decided to take action and pivot toward the real estate industry. This major career shift led him to buy into a well-established full-service booking\, tourism\, and property management company called “Place in PEC.” This company specializes in managing a diverse portfolio of properties\, including over 60 licensed short-term accommodations (STA) and long-term rental properties. \nGillian (Fedchak) Tantalo has over 30 years of experience in Special Event Management\, sponsorship\, and fundraising\, and moved to Prince Edward County in 2017 to work within the Real Estate and rental market. \nTogether with her husband Frank\, they opened Places in PEC in April of 2019 after recognizing a need for a full-service management company when dealing with Short Term Rentals. She opened her doors with 5 places for short-term renting\, and over the past 4 years\, the property list has grown to over 60 licensed STA’s\, with 25 staff. \nIn August of 2023\, Gillian and Shawn (a property owner of hers) partnered to take Places in PEC to the next level\, diversify\, and start exciting new partnerships. Gillian is well versed in licensing on a municipal level for the STA properties and continues to be the largest property management company in the area. \n  \nHart Togman founded Rent Panda 7 years ago after experiencing the underserved rental industry in Canada. He built the company with the vision of helping small landlords throughout their rental journey and works every day on a mission to make renting better. Hart brings his passion for real estate\, background in technology and marketing and personal experiences as a landlord to the table at every chance possible. In the last 7 years he has led Rent Panda to helping over 3000 landlords find ideal tenants and manages a rental portfolio of over 200 units. \n
