The project involved acquisition and cost-effective renovations aimed at modernizing the properties. Following the renovations\, rental income has more than doubled due to the expanded number of units. We also covered our refinancing strategy\, which was designed to optimize financial returns and recover a portion of the initial investment. This project has proven to be an exceptional opportunity to significantly enhance rental income and maximize investment potential. \n* Wrap-up and Burning Questions \n* Networking and Developing Your Power Team \nSpeaker Showcase: \n  \nAnita and Kris Lewis did not start out in real estate as a Realtors\, but as investors. Looking to see their hard earned money work harder for them and to create a better road to financial freedom they researched real estate as an investment strategy. It didn’t take long before they jumped in with both feet. They worked hard to purchase five rental homes in their first year while also having their first child. They were hooked. They purchased a variety of home types and used strategies like student rentals\, buying turnkey duplexes\, duplex conversions and house hacking. Seeing how this changed their lives and that of their family – they are now both Realtors with the primary objective of improving lives through equity. \n  \n  \n  \n\nGeorges El Masri – After graduating from the University of Toronto in 2012\, I picked up a full time office job with a tech company. I quickly realized how miserable I was.  After a really LONG period of reflection\, I realized I’d be much happier in real estate. I thought to myself\, “what can I do every day for the next 10 years and wake up feeling happy?”. The answer was clear. I got my realtor’s license knowing that one day I would become a real estate investor.  After completing the “BRRR” strategy for the first time in 2017\, I was hooked. He lives in Lindsay with his wife\, two children and two cats. In his day job he is a Technical Director with GHD\, a multidisciplinary engineering consulting company with 11\,000 people globally. He is a registered professional engineer in Ontario reducing greenhouse gas emissions from municipal wastewater treatment plants in Durham\, York\, and Halton Regions and the City of Toronto and elsewhere across North America. He holds a PhD in civil environmental engineering from the University of Toronto.
